California Small Business Association (CSBA)

CSBA is a grass roots, volunteer driven, non-profit small business advocacy organization who's mission is to provide small business with a meaningful voice in state and federal government.

California Small Business and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise Services

The Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) and Small Business (SB) Certification Programs were established to increase business opportunities for the DVBE and SB communities with the State of California; thereby stimulating the state's overall economy. The programs are designed to help DVBEs and SBs participate in a more level playing field with certain advantages when competing against other non-DVBEs and non-SBs for state contracts and purchases. Certified firms can also take advantage of other DVBE and SB benefits.

California State Board of Equalization

Provides information on business and property taxes in California.

California State Employment Development Department

Contains links to an online job and résumé bank (CalJOBSSM), which boasts thousands of job openings and the largest pool of candidates in the state, labor market tools designed to help you make educated decisions, information on filing an Unemployment Insurance or Disability Insurance claim,the latest employment tax information and forms, and a wide array of employment and training services.

County of Los Angeles Registrar /Recorder/ County Clerk

Provides information on naming a business and applying for a Fictitious Business Name.
