Long Beach Public Library cardholders may place a hold on an items free of charge. Videos and DVDs may not be placed on hold.

Ways you can place a hold:

• Using our online catalog - PLACE A HOLD NOW
• In person at any of the Library's 11 neighborhood libraries or at the Main Library.
• Using the telephone - call your local library.

When the item comes in, we will notify you by a telephone call, e-mail or by mail (your choice) when it is available for pick up. If you need help placing a hold, library staff will guide you through the process or place a hold for you.
