Most items may be renewed a maximum of two items. Videos and Reference Materials may not be renewed nor items which have pending holds or reserves.

If the item you renew is overdue a fine will be posted to your record.

Ways you can renew.

• In person at any of the Library's 11 Neighborhood Libraries or at the Main Library
• Over the web
• Using the telephone. The Library offers a Telephone Circulation Service, Telecirc. If you have a touch tone phone, you can renew items by telephone, 24 hours a day, by calling (562) 570-5496, or (562) 570-5498. Telecirc also lets you review your library record to find out what you have checked out, when it is due, if items you reserved are being held for you, and if you have any unpaid fees.
